The Honorable Elliott Abrams

Elliott Abrams is the Special Representative for Iran and Venezuela at the Department of State. He was senior fellow for Middle Eastern studies at the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) in Washington, DC, from which he is now on a leave of absence. He served as deputy assistant to the president and deputy national security advisor in the administration of President George W. Bush, where he supervised U.S. policy in the Middle East for the White House.

Mike Makovsky

Michael Makovsky, PhD

Michael Makovsky, PhD is President and CEO at JINSA and a former Pentagon official in the George W. Bush administration. Makovsky is also the author of Churchill’s Promised Land (Yale University Press), a diplomatic-intellectual history of Winston Churchill’s complex relationship with Zionism. He has a Ph.D. in diplomatic history from Harvard University.
