Jeff Kuhnreich is the Vice President for Military Affairs at the Jewish Institute for National Security of America (JINSA). For the past 12 years he was the Deputy Director of Policy and Government Relations and the Director of Defense Programs at the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) focusing on Missile Defense and other operational challenges for Israel and the United States. Before AIPAC, Jeff was the Director of Government Relations for Aerospace and Defense Programs for the Honeywell Corporation. Prior to that position, he served seven years in the Senate; most recently, as the Senior Policy Advisor to Sen. Jon Kyl (R-AZ) for Defense, Foreign Policy and Counterterrorism, and before that as the Defense and Foreign Policy Legislative Advisor to Sen. Christopher “Kit” Bond (R-MO).
A 20 year combat-proven, retired veteran of the US Navy, Jeff spent the majority of his career flying F-4s and F-14s with multiple deployments on numerous carriers in both the Mediterranean and Arabian Gulf theaters of operation including Freedom of Navigation operations in the Gulf of Sidra and Operation Desert Storm.
Jeff received his Bachelor’s degree in History from Duke University and a Master’s of Science in Finance from the United States Naval Postgraduate School.
