<p>The December 4 program led off with presentations on regional threat perceptions. Asia was discussed by Dr. James Mulvenon, the Deputy Director for Advanced Analysis at the Center for Intelligence Research &#038; Analysis. Adm. Leon Edney, USN (ret.), a former NATO Supreme Allied Commander, Atlantic, addressed Europe. Dr. Anupam Srivastava, Director of the Asia Program at the University of Georgia&#8217;s Center for International Trade &#038; Security, discussed India. The Middle East was analyzed by Michael Eisenstadt, the Director of the Military &#038; Security Studies Program at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy.</p>
<p>Dr. Uzi Rubin, the &#8220;father&#8221; of Israel&#8217;s Arrow Ballistic Missile Defense System was joined by the Heritage Foundation&#8217;s F.M. Kirby National Security Policy Research Fellow Dr. Baker Spring, the American Foreign Policy Council&#8217;s Vice President for Policy Ilan Berman, National Defense University Foundation&#8217;s Senior Defense Associate Peter Huessy and Jeffrey Kueter, the President of the George C. Marshall Institute, for panels on current BMD capabilities and future BMD requirements.</p>
<p>The Israel Missile Defense Association and the Jerusalem Institute for Public Policy were co-sponsors of the event, which was attended by representatives of the defense industry and diplomatic community as well as JINSA members. </p>
