JINSA Outreach Internships

JINSA offers both full and part time internship opportunities throughout the year to work on programs and development. Prospective interns should be hard working, enthusiastic and flexible individuals who possess or seek a working knowledge of program development, while obtaining practical skills and experiencing firsthand the day-to-day operations of a nonprofit organization.


JINSA Outreach Internships

JINSA offers both full and part time internship opportunities throughout the year to work on programs and development. Duties primarily include providing programmatic and administrative support and conducting donor and outreach based research. Writing opportunities may be available for selected interns with demonstrable writing capabilities.

Gemunder Center Policy Internships

JINSA’s Gemunder Center for Defense and Strategy was created in 2013 to perform intensive, serious and innovative research and advocacy on vital U.S. defense and foreign policy issues related to Israel and Middle East. The Center’s research and outreach are directed through interdisciplinary task forces of former senior government officials, retired senior military officers, industry experts, business leaders and others.

The Gemunder Center seeks research interns to contribute to the work of its professional staff and task forces. The position will consist primarily in collaborating with policy staff on rigorous, in-depth research for the Gemunder Center’s task forces and other national security-related issues that advance JINSA’s mission of advocating for robust U.S. national security and supporting Israel and other like-minded allies.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum one year of undergraduate education.
  • Strong ability to analyze developments related to Middle East security issues using open-source and other materials.
  • Good research, writing and editing skills are a must.
  • Language skills – especially Arabic, Farsi or Hebrew – are highly preferred.

About the Gemunder Center

JINSA’s Gemunder Center for Defense and Strategy was created in 2013 to perform intensive, serious and innovative research and advocacy on vital U.S. defense, strategic and general national security issues related to Israel and the Middle East. In this capacity, it furthers JINSA’s larger mission to provide leadership on critical national security issues, promote U.S. security cooperation with like-minded democracies, engage the U.S. defense community on Israel’s role in regional security and improve awareness of the importance of a strong U.S. defense capability. The Center’s research and outreach are directed through interdisciplinary task forces of former senior government officials, retired senior military officers, industry experts, business leaders and others.
