2017 Homeland Security Program Conference Series

Montgomery County, MD (DC-Metro Area) – August 15 Minneapolis, MN – August 17 San Diego, CA – August 22

JINSA’s Homeland Security Program partnered with the Montgomery County Police Department, Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office in Minneapolis and San Diego County Sheriff’s Department for educational and interactive counterterrorism conferences. The three law enforcement agencies brought together hundreds of police officers and security professionals from various police departments, fortune 500 companies, federal agencies and public and private attractions such as museums, amusement parks, zoos, and stadiums to learn about current trends in terrorism, understanding terrorist motivations and policing methods to counter the effectiveness of terrorist activity from five of Israel’s leading experts on counterterrorism. The participants also learned about methods of intelligence gathering and analysis and the need for cooperation between government and private sector security.

JINSA extends a special thank you to Chief J. Thomas Manger of the Montgomery County Police Department, Sheriff Richard Stanek of the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office and Sheriff William Gore of the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department for enabling those who police our communities to learn security risks in their neighborhoods, leading to a more secure America for all of us.

JINSA would like to thank the L.E. Phillips Family Foundation and Maryjo Cohen, Michael David and Diana Epstein, Charles Wax, Dr. Bob, The Jewish Community Relations Council of Minnesota and the Dakotas, and Mike Fiterman for their support of our program.
