Vice President of Development
Description
The Jewish Institute for National Security of America (JINSA) is seeking an experienced individual to direct its national development efforts.
Duties:
- Responsible for outreach to, and stewardship of, a sophisticated target audience of donors and prospects through face-to-face solicitations, events and outreach to foundations.
- Responsible for outreach to, and stewardship of, a sophisticated target audience of donors and prospects through face-to-face solicitations, events and outreach to foundations.
- Interact with existing/prospective donors, manage research of prospective donors, manage proposals to foundations, arrange meetings for CEO with existing/prospective donors, and work with Outreach Director on national events.
- Report to the Vice President of Operations, when hired, and work closely with JINSA’s CEO.
- Interact closely with all JINSA staff in our Washington, D.C. office.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of development experience with non-profit organizations.
- Excellent track record with notable achievements, a general understanding of the U. S. military and the U.S. security relationship with Israel, and the ability to understand and communicate JINSA’s mandate with clarity and certainty.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced setting for a growing organization.
- Excellent writing and verbal skills.
- Very organized, poised, pro-active, and detail-oriented.
- Competency with Raiser’s Edge is preferred.
- Background in proposal-writing.
