Sidney Shachnow, member of JINSA’s Board of Advisors, talked about his memoir Hope and Honor, published by Forge Books. It began with his escape from a Nazi concentration camp in Lithuania during World War II at the age of ten. Maj. General Shachnow eventually emigrated to America and enlisted in the U.S. Army.
