To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks, JINSA asked 16 retired senior U.S. military officers to reflect on what the events of that day meant for them, the United States, and the world. JINSA thanks those flag officers for their contributions to this project and thanks all members of the United States armed forces for their service. JINSA also wishes to express gratitude for and admiration of the countless heroes of September 11, 2001. Their courage and self-sacrifice continue to give the country strength.
