Maj. Gen. Larry Stutzriem, USAF (ret.) Briefs JINSA National Leaders in Dallas
On November 12, Maj. Gen. Larry Stutzriem, USAF (ret.) briefs JINSA National Leaders in Dallas on his on-the-ground military observations and perspectives of Israel. The event was hosted by JINSA National Leaders Karla and Larry Steinberg.
Maj. Gen. Lawrence A. Stutzriem, USAF (ret.) was the Director, Plans, Policy and Strategy, North American Aerospace Defense Command, and U.S. Northern Command, Peterson Air Force Base, CO. In 2015, he was a participant on JINSA’s Generals and Admirals Program. Gen. Stutzriem was commissioned in 1978 through the Air Force ROTC program at Arizona State University, where he received his B.A in civil engineering. In 1980, he completed undergraduate pilot training at Vance Air Force Base, OK. He has commanded at the squadron, group, and wing levels, including the 355th Wing at Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ. In 1996, he received a Masters Degree in national security strategy from the National War College at Fort Lesley J. McNair. In June 2001, he served as Director of Operations, Joint Task Force – Southwest Asia, and Deputy Director of the Combined Air Operations Center. He also served as Director, Chief of Staff of the Air Force Strategic Studies Group – CHECKMATE, in Washington, DC. Maj. Gen. Stutzriem has more than 2,200 flying hours in F-16, A-10, F-4, and Air Force training aircraft.
