Major General Yoel Strick was born in 1966 in the City of Dimona. He is married and father of 3.

Military Service

  • 2021-present: Intended Active-Duty Military Fellow in JINSA’s Gemunder Center for Defense and Strategy.
  • 2019 – 2021: Chief of the Ground Forces.
  • 2017 – 2019: Commander of the Northern Command.
  • 2015 – 2017: Commander of the Home-front Command.
  • 2014 – 2015: Commander of a Company and Battalion Commanders Course.
  • 2011 – 2014: Head of the Operations Division, the Operations Directorate (J3).
  • 2009 – 2011: Commander of the “Galilee” Division.
  • 2007 – 2009: Commander of the “Edom” Division.
  • 2005 – 2007: Commander of the “Givati” Brigade.
  • 2002 – 2004: Northern Regional Brigade Commander, “Gaza” Division.
  • 2001 – 2002: Reserves Brigade Commander, Central Command.
