A call for more stimulus funds: A leading defense trade group echoed the need for more government aid to help soften the blow, our colleague Connor O’Brien reports.

“All of that is going to cause things to cost more, whether it’s service agreements or products and manufacturing capability,” Hawk Carlisle, president of the National Defense Industrial Association, said on a conference call organized by the Jewish Institute for National Security of America.

“So I think the other [thing] that needs to come in the next stimulus package is acknowledgment that these programs are going to exceed budget,” he added, “because of this two to three months of delays, partial workforce, paying the workforce, inability to perform on contract.”
