Post-Election Update: What Do The Result’s Mean for America’s National Security?

Security and Nonproliferation briefed JINSA Leaders on what the recent elections mean for U.S. national security.

Security and Nonproliferation briefed JINSA Leaders on what the recent elections mean for U.S. national security.

Morrie Amitay is Vice Chairman of JINSA and Founder and Treasurer of the Washington Political Action Committee, which has carefully contributed more than three million dollars to Israel’s supporters in the U.S. Congress on a bipartisan basis. Former Executive Director of AIPAC, Amitay has appeared as a commentator on a number of national radio and television programs including CNN, MPR, the Lehrer Report, Voice of America, Fox News, and the BBC. Prior to taking over at AIPAC, Amitay worked in the U.S. House of Representatives and as a senior legislative aide in the United States Senate. Mr. Amitay has an undergraduate degree from Columbia University, a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Harvard University, and a J.D. degree from Harvard Law School.

The Hon. Stephen Rademaker has over 20 years’ experience working on national security issues in multiple branches of government. As Assistant Secretary of State, he led multiple bureaus at the State Department, and also directed the Proliferation Security Initiative and nonproliferation policy toward Iran and North Korea. During this time, he also headed U.S. delegations to the 2005 Review Conference of Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT). On Capitol Hill, Rademaker served as Chief Counsel for the House Select Committee on Homeland Security, and as Deputy Staff Director and Chief Counsel of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs. He also held several positions in the George H.W. Bush Administration, including Deputy Legal Advisor to the National Security Council.
