As U.S. and Israeli military operations against Iran continue, officials are exploring a diplomatic off-ramp to end the conflict. Yet as military operations continue and daylight remains between diplomatic positions, questions remain about whether an agreement is possible—and, if so, on what terms—let alone desirable.
To discuss the prospects for diplomacy, the risks of negotiations versus escalation, and how this war might end, JINSA hosted a webinar featuring JINSA Distinguished Scholar and former Undersecretary of Defense for Policy Amb. Eric Edelman, JINSA Iran Policy Project Member and former U.S. Special Representative for Iran Elliott Abrams, and JINSA Senior Advisor and former U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for International Security & Nonproliferation Stephen Rademaker.
The discussion was moderated by JINSA Vice President for Policy Blaise Misztal.
