Norman T. Roule

Norman T. Roule served for 34-years in the Central Intelligence Agency, managing significant programs relating to the Middle East. He served as the National Intelligence Manager for Iran (NIM-I) at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence from November 2008 until September 2017. As NIM-I, he was the principal Intelligence Community (IC) official responsible for overseeing national intelligence policy and activities related to Iran and Iran-related issues, to include IC engagement on these topics with senior policymakers in the National Security Council, the Department of State and Congress.

Professor Bernard Haykel

Bernard Haykel is a Professor of Near Eastern Studies and Director of the Institute for Transregional Study of the Contemporary Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia at Princeton University. Much of Haykel’s teaching and writing lies at the juncture of the intellectual, political, and social history of the Middle East with particular emphasis on the countries of the Arabian Peninsula. He has written extensively on Saudi and Yemeni culture and politics, Wahhabism, Salafism, Zaydism, and aspects of the Islamic doctrine and law.

Mohammed Alyahya

Mohammed Alyahya is a Saudi journalist and researcher who serves as editor-in-chief of Al Arabiya English at the Dubai-based Al Arabiya News Channel. During his career, Alyahya has held several positions at international research centers, including as senior fellow at the Gulf Research Center, as well as a non-resident fellow at the Atlantic Council in Washington, DC.

John Hannah

John Hannah is a Senior Fellow at JINSA’s Gemunder Center for Defense and Strategy. Hannah served in senior foreign policy positions for both Democratic and Republican administrations over the last 20 years, including as National Security Advisor to U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney.
