Anna Schaftel
Anna Schaftel is a Senior Programs and Outreach Associate. She joined JINSA in August 2022, transitioning into this role after previously working as a policy intern.
Anna is a graduate of the University of Michigan where she majored in History. While in college, she was a national security researcher for the Michigan Foreign Policy Council, an undergraduate think tank, where she coauthored original research focused on counterterrorism and arms sales. She has interned in the Leadership Office of House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, the Legislative Office of Congresswoman Debbie Dingell, and non-profits such as the Voter Protection Project.
