Israel War Update 12/5

Although the precarious ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon remains in place, Hezbollah has violated the deal, prompting Israeli strikes in Lebanon. Additionally, Israel has expanded its operations in Jabalia where Hamas has resurged its presence within the northern Gaza stronghold. In Syria, Islamist opposition forces have mounted a surprise offensive that captured Aleppo and other key areas from the Assad regime, marking another blow to Iran’s “Axis of Resistance” and causing Iran-backed militias to enter Syria in support of Assad.

Join JINSA for a webinar assessing the unfolding events in Israel and the wider region with JINSA Distinguished Fellow IDF MG (ret.) Yaakov Amidror, JINSA Visiting Fellow IDF BG Effie Defrin, and JINSA’s Randi & Charles Wax Senior Fellow John Hannah.
